Village Laundry Co. — Terms of Service & Service Agreement

Acceptance of Terms These Terms of Service are entered into by and between you and Village Laundry Co. ("VLC," "we," "us," or "our"). By using our website, submitting a service request, or completing a purchase, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services. Our services are available to users who are 18 years of age or older and who reside in our active service areas within Solano and Contra Costa County, California.
The Services Village Laundry Co. provides laundry pickup, washing, folding, and delivery services. Services are performed by independent Village Pro contractors using residential equipment. By scheduling a service, you acknowledge that services may be performed by an independent contractor and not a direct employee of VLC.
Scheduling & Cancellations You may schedule services via our website or approved booking forms. To cancel or reschedule a pickup, you must notify us at least 2 hours before your confirmed pickup window. Cancellations made less than 2 hours before pickup are subject to a $20 cancellation fee. Reschedule requests made less than 2 hours before pickup are subject to a $10 reschedule fee. VLC reserves the right to cancel or reschedule services due to circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, no fees will be charged and you will be notified as soon as possible.
Pricing & Payment Pricing is based on bag count and service type as disclosed on our website and booking forms. Subscription customers are charged their plan minimum at the time of booking. Final charges are calculated after pre-weigh and any remaining balance or refund is settled before delivery. On-demand customers are charged an estimated amount at the time of booking with final charges settled after pre-weigh. All fees are processed securely through Stripe. By completing a purchase you authorize VLC to charge your payment method for all applicable fees including any overages. Fees are final and non-refundable unless otherwise determined by VLC in our sole discretion. VLC reserves the right to update pricing at any time. Existing subscribers will be notified of any pricing changes prior to their next billing cycle. Promotional credits and coupon codes are valid for 30 days from the date of issuance unless otherwise stated. Expired credits cannot be reinstated or refunded. Credits may not be transferred, sold, or redeemed for cash.
Cancellation & Refund Policy You may cancel your subscription at any time by contacting us at info@villagelaundryco.com. Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing cycle. No refunds are issued for partial billing periods. On-demand and specialty orders cancelled at least 2 hours before your confirmed pickup window will receive a full refund. Orders cancelled less than 2 hours before pickup are subject to a $20 cancellation fee. The remaining balance will be refunded to your original payment method within 5-7 business days. If your final bag count is less than your estimated charge, the difference will be refunded to your original payment method within 5-7 business days. Promotional credits and coupon codes are non-refundable and have no cash value. 2-month broken washer plans are billed monthly and may be cancelled after the commitment period ends. No refunds are issued for the current billing month. 3-month plans are billed upfront and are non-refundable. If you need to cancel before the commitment period ends due to extenuating circumstances, please contact us at info@villagelaundryco.com and we will review on a case by case basis.
Damaged Items VLC exercises utmost care in cleaning and processing all items. However, we cannot assume responsibility for inherent weaknesses or defects in materials, color loss, color bleeding, or shrinkage, damage to weak or delicate fabrics not disclosed at the time of booking, or damage caused by items left in pockets. Please report any damaged items to info@villagelaundryco.com within 24 hours of delivery. VLC is not responsible for damaged items reported after this time. VLC carries general liability insurance with coverage up to $1,000,000 per incident. With respect to any single damaged or lost item, VLC's liability shall not exceed $50 per item or the cost of the service, whichever is less, regardless of brand or condition. Any amounts due to you will be credited to your VLC account.
Lost Items Please empty all pockets and check for loose items prior to putting laundry out for pickup. VLC is not responsible for loose items including jewelry, cash, or personal belongings left in pockets or bundled with garments. Please report any missing items to info@villagelaundryco.com within 24 hours of delivery. VLC is not responsible for missing items reported after this time. VLC's maximum liability for any lost item shall not exceed $50 per item.
Pickup & Delivery VLC is not responsible for missing or damaged items from orders picked up or dropped off in unsecured or unattended locations. By requesting delivery to an unattended location, you acknowledge and accept this risk.
SMS Communications By providing your phone number and completing a booking, you consent to receive SMS and text messages from Village Laundry Co. SMS communications are used exclusively for pickup and delivery scheduling and confirmations, order status updates, and customer support related to your active service. We will never use your phone number for promotional or marketing messages without your explicit consent. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on your service schedule. You may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to any message or by contacting us at info@villagelaundryco.com. Please note that opting out of SMS communications may impact our ability to coordinate your pickup and delivery schedule. For support, reply HELP or contact us at info@villagelaundryco.com.
Privacy Customer information is collected solely for the purpose of service fulfillment and communication. VLC will never sell or share your personal information with third parties except as required to fulfill your service. For more information see our Privacy Policy at villagelaundryco.com/privacy.
Limitation of Liability VLC carries general liability insurance with coverage up to $1,000,000 per incident. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, VLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of our services beyond the limits stated above.
Indemnification You agree to indemnify and hold VLC and its contractors, agents, and representatives harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of your use of our services, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law.
Governing Law These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be submitted to the jurisdiction of the state or federal courts located in Solano County, California.
Changes to These Terms VLC reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of our services following any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
